How to fix 'Mismatched product price' in Google Merchant Center
By Kai · Updated Oct 19, 2026 · 2 min read
Google crawls your landing page and compares the price there with the price in your data source. They must match exactly. Fix the price in the data source, then request a website check. Google can take up to 12 hours to review the site.
What the issue means
Googlebot regularly crawls your landing pages and compares the price in your data source with the price on the page or in your structured data. If they differ, the product may be disapproved. Google states that prices in the HTML need to match exactly the prices uploaded to Merchant Center. Prices that are loaded with JavaScript after the page loads can also trigger the error.
Common causes
- The website price changes more often than the Merchant Center data is updated.
- Structured data markup on the page is wrong.
- Bots receive a different price or currency than your visitors see.
- Sale price dates or time zones are wrong in
sale_priceandsale_price_effective_date. - The notice is old and the status has already changed.
- For minimum order quantities or bulk sales, the submitted price must cover the total for the minimum number of items.
How to fix it
- Set the price in your data source to match the website, in the right currency for the target country.
- For one product: Products, then Needs attention, filter for the affected products, open the product, choose Edit product, correct the price and save.
- For many products: download the CSV of affected products, compare it with your product data, correct the prices and upload the data again.
- Request a website check to speed up re-approval. If you do nothing, an automatic review happens later. If you think the issue is wrong, request a review instead.
Timing
Googlebot re-crawls disapproved products over the next hours or days. Google may take up to 12 hours to review your website, and you cannot send a new request during that time. A fixed issue can take a while to disappear from Needs attention.
Fix the cause, not only the row
If the price keeps drifting, the feed is not the problem. Check how the store updates prices: a sync that runs less often than your sales, a cache that shows an old price to Googlebot, or a variant price that the feed reads differently from the page. Fix that source and the issue stops coming back.
